Leading communications company scoops prizes in world renowned international film competition.

April 13, 2011 - PRLog -- World Television, the leading video communications agency for corporations and governments, today announces that its film for top biopharmaceutical company, Shire, was awarded a Bronze World Medal in New York Festivals' International Television & Film Awards last night.

‘Better Lives’ was produced over 18 months and shot on-location in Europe and the USA. The film tells Shire's story through three employees, their colleagues, patients and families showing the ways in which the company makes a difference to people with life-altering conditions. In addition to the Bronze World Medal for Direction, Better Lives was awarded a Finalist Certificate for Cinematography at the awards ceremony in Las Vegas.

World Television also walked away with a Finalist Certificate in the Public Relations category for ‘We Are Anglo American’ – a brand film produced as part of a larger campaign to launch the mining giant’s new corporate identity. Built around a specially-composed soundtrack, which weaves together voices of employees around the world, the film aims to reflect the company’s spirit and guiding values, as well as the diversity, scope and scale of its operations.

New York Festivals’ International Television & Film Awards is one of the world's largest international competitions dedicated to excellence in the television and film industries. Now in its 54th year, the 2011 competition attracted entries from over 35 countries across the globe, making it one of the most well known and widely respected competitions worldwide.
