Albanese Confectionery signs new lease at NorthWinds Crossing

PRLog (Press Release) - Apr. 12, 2011 - Hobart, Indiana – Albanese Confectionery signed a new lease with Becknell Development at NorthWind Crossings just off I-65 and 61st Ave. in Hobart, Indiana for 31,986 square feet. The new location will be used for storage and packaging of product for expansion of its growing business.
The new location is located within a 95,000 SF building in Becknell’s 200 acre NorthWind Crossing business park. Albanese needed to make room for a 20,400 square foot expansion for Gummi bear production at the existing facility. “Albanese chose the location because of the proximity to I-65 and their current manufacturing facility on US 30 in Hobart, IN.” said Aaron McDermott, President of Latitude Commercial Real Estate, who represented Albanese on the transaction.
Albanese, formed in 1983, operates two other locations. One outlet store, connected to the 130,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, is at 5441 E. Lincoln Highway while the other, is located at 1910 W. U.S. 30. Albanese was recently featured on the show “Unwrapped” on the Food Network.
