“These days, there’s a perception that green living, though it would be nice, isn’t a financially feasible option for many Americans,” recounts site co-founder Nate Shaw. “In reality, though, we’ve found this not to be the case, and we hope to highlight how people can reap financial rewards at the same time they’re doing their part to help the environment.”
Through Green Living Eco, the Shaw family touches on every aspect of a green lifestyle, from their adventures in finding effective natural deodorants and cleaners to the challenge of growing their own organic vegetable garden to the difficulty of explaining to their five year old daughter their drive to reduce carbon emissions and encourage others to do likewise.
“We know we’re not alone in our desire to become what we like to call an eco family,” explains Green Living Eco co-founder Steph Shaw. “Through sharing our experiences with the world, we hope to help those who have been thinking about trying to live a more green lifestyle, but are not sure what to do. Green Living Eco gives them hundreds of ideas and opinions on different ways to go green and they can pick and choose the ones that are most conducive to their own situation.”
