Art show focusing on birth and mothers premiers April 30: The Art of Birth

April 11, 2011 - PRLog -- Fort Worth, TX  - The Art of Birth is a mixed media art and performance show debuting April 30, 2011 from 11 am - 4 pm in Sanders Theatre at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center. The event will include spoken word birth stories hourly, live pregnancy art, pregnancy, birth and postpartum photography, paintings and sculpture. Featured exhibits include the Nursing is Normal Project and select birth photography by Tarrant County Birth Network member photographers.

The Art of Birth is a free event and a production of BOLD Fort Worth, a fundraising organization for the Tarrant County Birth Network. Additional details at www.boldfortworth.org.

Sanders Theatre is located within the Fort Worth Community Arts Center at 1300 Gendy Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76107 at the southwest corner of Lancaster Street and Gendy Street in the arts district. Parking is $5 in the CAC parking garage or at Amon Carter, or free parking is available in the parking garage at the UNT Health Science Center across Camp Bowie.

The Tarrant County Birth Network is is a chapter of 501c3 nonprofit BirthNetwork National. TCBN's mission is to provide information and advocacy for evidence-based, Mother-Friendly care for expectant families in Tarrant County.
