Disney and Nick Stars, ‘We Are The World’ Grammy Award-Winning Director Tom Trbovich and Billboard Winning Producer Drew Lane Teamed with Co-Writer /Co-Producer Evelyn Vaccaro for the Creation and Worldwide Launch of "If The Earth Could Speak"

April 11, 2011 - PRLog -- The new music video and accompanying song “If The Earth Could Speak”, created to raise awareness and direct donors for ChildFund International (www.childfundinternational.com) in support of their sister organization ChildFund Japan, an international child development organization working to aid children devastated by the 8.9 magnitude earthquake and resulting tsunami which hit Japan on March 11th, 2011, was unveiled at a special red carpet event in Hollywood on April 2nd.

The charity song “If The Earth Could Speak” was directed by “We Are The World” Grammy winner Tom Trbvovich and Billboard winning Producer Drew Lane (“High School Musical”), Co-Written and Co-Produced by actress and producer Evelyn Vaccaro (www.evelynvaccaro.com) with performances by Hollywood’s top teen and child music artists including stars from various Disney and Nickelodeon shows and movies.

Evelyn, has been mentoring and working with marginalized children throughout her life. When the earthquake in Japan struck, like everyone else, she felt absolutely helpless and devastated about the loss, the grief and the suffering. After having been teamed up with Drew Lane and Tommy Trbovich along with the help of many who jumped in working tirelessly to show their support, she was able to turn a dream into reality with this remarkable project.

'It has always been important to me to show support to children and those in need which is why I presented the idea of creating a music video and song, that I had in mind since the last disaster in Haiti, that would give the children the opportunity to show support to other children in need- especially to those currently suffering in Japan.” explained Evelyn Vaccaro. “The idea was to create a song and music video performed by a star-studded cast of children for children. With their voices, singing the words to 'If the Earth Could Speak' together in one recording studio, the hope was that the children can see they have the power to make a difference, the power to speak up and make a change. With the recent disasters, it felt right to Drew and I to write a song that would allow the children to speak on behalf of the earth which we need to protect for their future.”

Over 50 child stars were involved in the making of this record including Daniel Curtis Lee (Kojo on Disney’s ‘Zeke and Luther’) who both performed and co-wrote on the track, Sam Stone (Skippy on Nickelodeon’s ‘Big Time Rush’) and Zach Callison (Douglas on Disney’s Hanna Montana) everyone was thrilled and honored to be involved.

Daniel Curtis Lee said; “Since we are all the Earth; in essence, I am seeking to help myself by helping others. much love!".

"I'm so grateful to have the ability to speak out and lend a helping hand for Japan. Music is the universal language, and with that I was able to spread love and hope across the world." said Sam Stone.

"When I think of what happened to Japan and the destruction there it breaks my heart. I hope recording the song/video 'If The Earth Could Speak' in some small way can make a difference and send hope to the victims.” expressed Zach Callison. “I feel blessed to have been included and to have a voice for kids helping other kids."

This remarkable amalgamation of talent on the record “If The Earth Could Speak” is set to be imminently released by this dynamic team in order to start helping suffering children in Japan through ChildFund International, a charity dedicated to serving vulnerable children throughout the world, and is focusing current fundraising efforts on helping children devastated by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. “If The Earth Could Speak” is just one way ChildFund International is raising awareness and direct donors to help its global Alliance partner, ChildFund Japan, to speed response.

On an ordinary day, ChildFund Japan, a member of the ChildFund Alliance, raises funds for programs it implements in developing countries worldwide. Today is no ordinary day: ChildFund Japan is launching an emergency response in its own country. With support from other members of the ChildFund Alliance, including ChildFund International, ChildFund Japan will attend to immediate physical needs brought about by the shattered infrastructure; food, clean water, shelter and blankets. Equally important though will be the psychosocial support ChildFund will provide for the children who are suffering through this life-threatening situation and will continue to bear its long-term effects.
