Introducing d'Carlo Italian Restaurant on Oak Lawn in Dallas, TX - New Face on a Familiar Place

April 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Oak Lawn’s familiar restaurant, Daniele Osteria, is now owned and operated by long-time employee, Carlos Munoz, under the new name d’Carlo Italian Cuisine.
Carlos has been with this restaurant since the location’s inception in 2004 and has “worn every hat” since that time. Some of his prior experience includes the Taverna Restaurant (2 years) and Vino & Basso (2 years). For the past 3 years, Carlos & Executive Chef Cupertino Miranda, have collaborated to design the menu & plan to keep perfecting it with additional dishes.

d’Carlo will continue to offer the same authentic Italian recipes its patrons know and love, while introducing some seasonal dishes that are lighter and healthier during the spring and summer seasons. The restaurant has primarily served Sicilian recipes and will introduce several new Italian recipes from other regions of Italy, all prepared by the familiar kitchen team that remains on staff. Also in the works is new custom built bar furniture and a re-designed patio area.

Cupertino Miranda has been the restaurant’s head chef for the past three years and he plans to introduce some fresh seafood and seasonal specialties. New dishes include whole fish prepared table-side with grilled vegetables. Cupertino, from Veracruz, Mexico where learned to select and prepare seafood while growing up working in the restaurant of an Italian family that had settled there from Italy. His prior experience includes working under Mario Casineri at Bice for two years, and Francesco Farris at Arcodoro Pomodoro for four years.

d’Carlo Italian Cuisine is located on Oak Lawn Avenue, in the heart of Dallas, TX. The restaurant serves authentic Italian recipes from Northern & Southern Italy prepared with only the freshest meats, seafood, & other ingredients. “We boast a wide selection of wines, most requested by our customers as well as a unique collection of boutique wines representing the different regions of Italy” says owner Carlos Munoz.
