7 Eleven RTS Racing Team by Roadbike Philippines Tops Tour of Thailand 2011

April 9, 2011 - PRLog -- The Princess Maha Chakri Siridhorn’s Cup  “Tour of Thailand 2011” 1st – 6th April 2011

Pattaya, Thailand,  after covering the distance of more than 700kms of the six stages of the tour of Thailand 2011, the 7 Eleven-RTS Racing by RoadBike Philippines finish  3rd in the team general Classification  (56:17:50) behind  winner City of Perth Australia (56:14:00) and  2nd placer HCK Denmark (56:14:25) ahead of bigtime teams from Iran, Kazasktan,  Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan and 9 other countries from the ASEAN Region.  

7 Eleven-RTS Racing by RoadBike Philippines was also crowed the Best Asean Team (56:17:50) ahead of 2nd placer Thailand national Team (56:23:36), 3rd placer  Custom Cycling Indonesia (56:56:57)

In the individual general  classification Lloyd Lucien Reynante finished 12th (18:45:59), Ericson Obosa 13th (18:46:02), Irish Valenzuela 34th(18:53:32), Tots Oledan 42nd (18:53:54) and Mark Galedo 58th (19:02:13) behind eventual winner Tobias Erler of Germany, Tabriz Petrochemical Pro Cycling Team of Iran (18:44:05)

Lloyd Lucien Reynante and Ericson Obosa  finished 2nd and 3rd respectively  behind the Best ASEAN rider competetion winner  Boonratanathanakorn Thurakit of  Thailand National team (18:45:47) missing it by just  12 and 15 seconds.

Nevertheless this is by par the best result  ever achieved by the team  in this year campaing after just competing in two UCI 2.2 sanction races the 1st one that of the Jelajah Malaysia last march with four podium finishes in the final GC(3rd in the  Team GC, 1st in the Best ASEAN Team GC,  2nd ands 3rd in the Individual  Best Asean Rider GC),  The Letour de Filipinas this coming April 16 to 19, 2011 in the Philippines will be the next  stop for this team  and with the way  the team goes it looks like  they have a very good chance of performing  beyond expectation.
