April 8, 2011 - PRLog -- The tax deductible donations raised help the Muscular Dystrophy Association continue research into the cause and possible cure of more than 40 neuromuscular diseases. MDA also provides wheelchairs, clinic visits, flu shots, support groups, and summer camp sponsorships to the hundreds of thousands of children and adults living with neuromuscular disease. Local Muscular Dystrophy Association offices also often provide wheelchair repairs or refurbished equipment from their "Loan Closet". This equipment can be used until a child out grows it. The equipment is then turned in for someone else to use which helps stretch donations as far as possible.
