Fordham Senior Swimmer McGorry Shoots For TV Stardom

PRLog (Press Release) - Apr. 7, 2011 - After an extremely successful senior season, Fordham University senior swimmer Megan McGorry is in one final competition prior to graduating this May.  She is a finalist in Connecticut's Next MyTV9 Star Competition, which the winner will receive a contract as a television reporter, correspondent, and promoter for Connecticut's MyTV9 station.

McGorry was a multiple-time medal winner at the Atlantic 10 Championships in each of the last two years.

A two-year member of the Fordham swimming & diving team, McGorry has had a very successful run posting school records in the 1650, 1000, and 500-yard freestyle events.  She earned Second Team All-Atlantic 10 honors in three different events, and was named to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference team.  McGorry will graduate from Fordham in May with a degree in Communications & Media Studies.
