Rumor: New Twitter Business Profile Page Resembles Facebook – Brothersoft

April 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Recently, according to foreign source, Twitter’s new business profile page is under development, yet this new page is said to resemble Facebook pages.

According to Shearman of BrandRepublic, Twitter is dedicating itself to development of a new profile page which will be much lager than the old one and more convenient for users. "Chief Executive Dick Costolo, and Adam Bain, president of revenue, are leading the push to create fresh revenue streams," Shearman writes.

While Twitter expressed that Twitter was a platform for varies of brands on its profile page. For instance, Verizon Wireless, H&M, Coca-Cola, Papa John's, etc, millions of famous brands are using Twitter. Despite of Twitter’s strong desire for offering users better service, but until now Twitter has not announced any official news.

"Branded pages on Twitter could be interesting, although Twitter is more flow-based than page based. I think it would be very useful for brands to have a page that is richer than the current profile page, especially for users who will visit the page of the brand for the first time. That would be the added value for me: having a broader introduction to the brand than just the limited profile Twitter now offers and offer information beyond the traditional Tweet. Integration of branded pages with the existing ecosystem of tools could be interesting." Rick Mans said, Social Media Lead at Capgemini, a technology consulting firm.

However, some insiders shouts opposite voices, they considers that Facebook is different from Twitter, thus the new account page may be less effective than Facebook, despite brand advertisers are in favor of it.

Exactly, Twitter is always to be innovation on ad, this new file page extremely seems like a new ad product. But as we know, sometimes, Twitter is blamed for its slow rate of new commercial services.
