Nominate Your Favorite Nurse for Nurse of the Year Award

April 6, 2011 - PRLog -- DECATUR – Do you have a nurse who means something special to you?  Someone who goes out of their way to ensure your comfort and keeps you laughing at each appointment?  Country Cottage in Decatur is sponsoring this year’s Nurse of the Year Award to recognize that extraordinary nurse who stands out from the rest.  Nominations for this year’s award will be taken through Tuesday, May 3rd.

“We want to honor the contributions of nurses in our community,” said Selena Jackson, LPN, Managing Director of Country Cottage.  “We want everyone to get involved and show our nurses how much we appreciate them.”

Nomination forms can be found at the Cottage located at 2515 Old Moulton Road, in the newspaper, and online at www.cottageassistedliving.com/NOY. “Everyone in the area is encouraged to nominate their favorite nurse,” said Jackson.  

Forms can be mailed to the Cottage, faxed to (256) 822-6170, or submitted online at www.cottageassistedliving.com/NOY.  A selection committee of community leaders will review the nominations and select a winner, who will be announced at a ceremony on Tuesday, May 17th at 5:30 p.m.  Preliminary ceremony plans include recognition of all nurses who are nominated, a presentation of $250 to the Nurse of the Year, and 2 free CE Contact Hours for nurses in attendance.
