April 7, 2011 - PRLog -- ORLANDO, Fla. — (April 07, 2011) — Today, Brijot® announced it continues to increase global deployments and market share for passive millimeter wave body scanners. Aside from key clients in the U.S., United Kingdom, Canada, China, Japan, and Indonesia, the company now has clients in Korea, Mexico, Ecuador, Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

The expansion into Korea resulted from a referral from U.S. client DreamWorks who wanted to add Brijot’s whole-body scanning systems in the fulfillment center in Korea, managed by Samsung Electronics. This layer of security was added to their international distribution and logistics processes to protect against data piracy and asset loss from employee theft of media content during the repackaging and localization of new release discs and DVDs.  In Puerto Rico, for Microsoft, Brijot installed systems in the company’s distribution center, again to protect company assets from data piracy and employee theft of other products. For U.S. client Technicolor, Brijot systems were installed to prevent data piracy by employees of their clients’ media content in its Mexico distribution center. In addition, Ecuador and Columbia clients sought out Brijot to assist screen both visitors and employees for any illegal contraband, drugs or weapons entering correctional facilities.

Brijot President and CEO Mitchel Laskey states, “Our objective is to help protect people, property, and privacy through safe and effective body scanners. The world’s need to have added layers of security exists across virtually every industry, which is why we continue to design and develop systems to help solve these security problems while always keeping health and privacy as the top priority.” Laskey goes on to state that Brijot has aggressive plans for expansion into new countries and markets through the balance of 2011 and into 2012.

Brijot systems can be found in courthouses, customs checkpoints, airports, correctional facilities, military bases and outposts, motion picture replication and distribution facilities, and retail distribution centers due to the wide array of available solutions. The company’s retail loss prevention and asset protection solution has been the fastest growing market the past two years. Recognized companies such as Best Buy, Sears, Shoppers Drug Mart, and Loblaw in Canada and DreamWorks, Technicolor, AT&T, and Cinram in the U.S. have Brijot systems installed as a part of their security checkpoints in distribution centers.
