April 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Littleton, Colo.  –  Ron Abo, principal with The Abo Group of Denver, highlights the German American Chamber of Commerce – Colorado (“GACC-CO”) annual meeting on the evening of April 11, 2011, with his “Sustainable Germany” presentation. The public is welcome to attend. The meeting hosted by Paulaner HP USA at its facilities in Littleton includes time for networking while sampling beer and wine, an overview of GACC-CO activities, Abo’s colorful powerpoint presentation and a German flavored buffet dinner.

Members and the public may register for this fun evening event at http://www.GACCCO.org. Cost is $28 per person including dinner catered by the Warhorse Inn of Parker and libations provided by the host.

About his presentation, Ron says:

“Europeans use far less energy than we do in the U.S.  They produce more electricity from alternative energy sources than we do.  Their carbon footprint per capita is half of ours.  Are they more technologically advanced?  Are they superior in their commitment and political will?  Are they accustomed to getting by with less?  Are their buildings as functional and safe as ours? These are the questions that I attempted to answer by traveling to Germany on an AIA Colorado Education Fund scholarship and visiting with architects, engineers, green building specialists, politicians, and plain German folk.  The slide show covers my trip through Belgium and Germany and includes stops in Liege, Aachen, Wuppertal, Dessau, Dresden, Berlin, Hamburg, and Cologne.“
