Student Escape to College prevents Crime

Colleges provide the bulk of grant monies to economically disadvantaged students, meaning a student could get all expenses paid tuition, lab fees, books, room and food. A student can escape urban ghettos and its crime by matriculating to college.

April 6, 2011 - PRLog -- The function of schools is to convince students there is a future for their life beyond peer pressure, crime and poverty – a life of wealth and comfort. Millions of students desire an affluent lifestyle but have no idea an Escape to College could pave the way to that lifestyle.

Ida Byrd-Hill escaped to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor from the housing projects of Flint Michigan, where she earned a Bachelor’s in Economics. She authored the book, Escape to College, to assist other students to plan their Escape to College.

This scene, as printed on the back of the book, Escape to College, replays itself often.  “Students see the suburbs as “the land of wealth. The residents there, live the life you desire and dream about. They dine, travel and purchase whatever they want.” The student dreams “ of moving to the land of wealth, but you are trapped in the ‘hood’ – the land of negativity, pain and scarcity. You have contemplated stealing some of their things to feel like you are in the land of wealth.”  Rather than staying in class investing in their futures so they could live in the land of wealth, millions of  students  have dropped out of school and  invested in crime.  Schools could encourage more  students to dream, plan, and prepare  for their  Escape to College.

Colleges provide the bulk of grant monies to economically disadvantaged students, meaning a student could get all expenses paid  tuition, lab fees, books,  room and food.  A student can escape urban ghettos and its crime by matriculating to college. Financial aid would pay for comfortable dorms and clean cities if they earn a high grade point average and a high ACT test score. Unfortunately, many students are unaware they can get their future life financed escaping  to college.
