April 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Santiago, Chile – Nettod, LLC announced today that their company’s co-founder, Matias Gonzalez, was selected to represent Latin America in the Stanford ASES (Asian Student Entrepreneur Society) Summit for 2011.  The 2011 Summit taking place April 4th – 11th will feature the Co-Founder of LinkedIn and the CEO of Symantec.

In September 2010 Gonzalez reached out to the leadership team at Stanford ASES as he recognized the immediate value of being able to connect Latin American entrepreneurs with entrepreneurs in the Asia-Pacific. Currently Stanford ASES has chapters in 15 countries throughout the Asia-Pacific including the famed Peking University, Tsinghua University and Harbin Institute of Technology in Beijing, China. Additional chapters are based in the U.S., Canada and Australia, where Sydney based Macquarie University has grown to a membership of 600 students in just 3 years.

The annual Summit brings together students from all across the world to engage in a week-long discussion about the future of entrepreneurial opportunities in emerging economies of the Asia-Pacific region.

In addition to the annual Summit, Stanford ASES also hosts the Speaker Series where they invite renowned entrepreneurs and industry experts to present their ideas and talk about their experiences to the reset of the Stanford Community; and VC-3 (Venture Capital Speed Dating) held during Entrepreneurship week at Stanford University. During VC-3, student teams get to pitch their ideas to the top VC’s.
