April 5, 2011 - PRLog -- A new agriculture career website is hoping to make it easier to find jobs in farming and ranching. The company Conservation Maven has launched Farm and Ranch Jobs – a website that features over a thousand jobs in agriculture. The site includes a wide range of agriculture jobs including employment listings in farm production, ranching, and agribusiness.

Farm and Ranch Jobs, http://www.farmandranchjobs.com, has adopted the strategy of aggregating agriculture jobs across dozens of job boards and career websites into a single location. The online employment industry is currently very fragmented with thousands of websites ranging from all-encompassing career sites to ultra niche job boards.

“Right now, job seekers in agricultural fields have to search a dozen sites to find the majority of relevant job openings. Many job seekers don’t have that kind of time,” according to site founder Rob Goldstein.

The makers of Farm and Ranch Jobs believe that by combining all agriculture employment listings in a single place they can make the job search process less time-intensive while saving money for employers.

“Companies are spending hundreds of dollars advertising on multiple sites. When they still can’t find qualified candidates, they end up spending thousand of dollars on recruiters,” according to Goldstein.

Currently, some large-scale job boards such as Simply Hired and Indeed have taken the aggregator approach to job listings across all industries. Farm and Ranch Jobs will be unique in that it will deploy this approach strictly to jobs in agriculture. The company believes that taking this limited approach enables them to combine the high-quantity listings from aggregation with the high-quality user-experience typical of niche sites.

Farm and Ranch Jobs however faces a steep challenge of creating a site that can satisfy the diverse array of interests that comprise the agricultural industry. Agriculture includes a highly diverse range of jobs and jobseekers that in many cases have little to do with one another.

In an attempt to address this issue, Farm and Ranch Jobs breaks down its listings into specific category pages. For example users can search for specific category pages for dairy jobs, http://www.farmandranchjobs.com/Category/dairy-jobs, and winery jobs, http://www.farmandranchjobs.com/Category/winery-and-viney....

Farm and Ranch Jobs is the second website from the company Conservation Maven that takes an aggregator strategy to the niche job search concept. Their first site, the Conservation Job Board, pursued a similar approach with respect to wildlife, forestry, and marine biology jobs.
