April 3, 2011 - PRLog -- With much anticipation and excitement, Paul Vandale Promotions proudly announce their 2011 opener of what is sure to be the start of a great MMA  promotion here in Massachusetts!  On Friday, May 20th, Paul Vandale Promotions along with Bud Light present “The Beast Comes East” Live MMA action with a full Pro-Am Event at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA featuring UFC Veteran & Hall of Fame Legend, Dan “The Beast” Severn vs. Nate “Polar Bear” Woodger in the Main Event!  With this event Powered by Warrior Nation Xtreme Fighters Alliance, Mr. Vandale brings to Worcester, a power-packed evening of live MMA fights headlined by one of the earliest and most legendary stars of the UFC and the only UFC Triple Crown Champion in the sport today!  Matchmaking will be handled by WNXFA’s Jesse Camp who encourages any and all interested MMA fighters to have their names submitted quickly by email at Jesse@WarriorNationXFA.com. The rest of the fight card is still in the works and Camp has put out an open call to area competitors who would like to try to secure a spot in the event. The last time an event of this magnitude was held in Worcester a ‘who’s who’ of east coast MMA fighters rushed to sign on, knowing the event would garner national attention. That event, Moosin God of Martial Arts, was also held at the DCU Center and was headlined by Tim Sylvia vs Mariusz Pudzianowski. Also on the card was Mike Campbell vs Yves Edwards, Rafael Natal vs Travis Lutter, along with Matt Lee, Frederic Belleton, Tara LaRosa, Travis Wiuff and Josh Barnes.
