April 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Templeton, CA  – Twin Cities Community Hospital nurse Jeannette Tosh, CIC (Certified Infection Control), taught a free Hand Hygiene class to developmentally disabled adults on Thursday, March 10, 2011, compliments of Twin Cities Community Hospital.

The event, held at the Colony Park Community Center in Atascadero, Ca, began with a short instructional period outlining the importance of good hand hygiene. To demonstrate this, the 29 participants in attendance were asked to apply the provided Glitter Bug Potion ® and then to wash their hands as they would normally do.  Using the Glitter Bug Handwash Show® training device, each participant was then able to view their hands under a black light to see glowing areas which represented areas where germs still remained.
