New SecureME! Service Launched for SMEs and Sole Traders

SecureME! provides a new Internal hard drive to replace your current installed drive (our drive is always bigger than the installed one) to reduce the risk of aging equipment failure and a new external hard drive (for your regular backups).  During installation the technician will check the data on your current disk for malware - using a write blocker to ensure we don't alter your data – then make an image of it using forensics grade equipment (ensuring your data is not at risk during the next steps) followed by installing the new imaged disk into your laptop.

Once fitted the newly imaged drive is fully encrypted using PGP Whole Disk Encryption®; the technician then installs top quality McAfee anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall software along with software to enable the encryption of CDs, DVDs and USB storage devices.

During the whole process the technician will discuss your security procedures and complete template security documents.  SecureME! uses an approved set of template documents that meet the Certified Digital Security (see http://www.CertifiedDigitalSecurity.com) Level 3 standard (specifically crafted for SecureME!).  To enable you to meet this standard SecureME! will draft your computer user policy, forensic readiness plan and other security policies for your use.

SecureME! will train you on the new software and the features of the service.   The technician will also train you on general computer security issues such as password management, viruses, phishing attacks.

Following a short test to confirm that you can (by yourself), login to the encrypted system, send an encrypted email, receive an encrypted email and create an encrypted usb stick or CD, the technician will provide details of the helpdesk operation times, contact telephone numbers and email addresses.  To conclude the day the technician will leave you with the hard copy A5 easy user guide that covers how the software and the service operates.

Within a few days, SecureME! will send you your completed user policies and security manual, submit your application forms to Certified Digital Security who will forward you a SecureME! CDS Level 3 Certificate and follow up with a call to check that you are satisfied with the installation service, that you have backed up your system since installation, that your manual and certificates have arrived.
