Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera has signed an exclusive agreement with Franklin Sports to wear the new Franklin CFX Batting Glove, it was announced today.
The batting glove is custom fit and features the Tigers colors of navy blue and orange with Cabrera’s #24.
The 27-year-old first baseman is coming off his best season in 2010 when he hit .328 with 38 home runs and 126 RBI, finishing second in the American League MVP vote.
“Miguel Cabrera is one of baseball’s most feared hitters, so the Franklin glove is a perfect fit,” said Franklin President Larry J. Franklin. “Franklin had both MVPs – Joey Votto and Josh Hamilton – wearing the Franklin glove last year, so Miguel is another important addition to our roster.”
