UK's Motive Television Launches TV "Anytime, Anywhere" Platform

March 30, 2011 - PRLog -- Motive Television PLC, said Wednesday that it had launched its "Television Anytime, Anywhere" platform which it said will integrate its two core software brands.

The digital television, technology, software and services provider said its new service would enable added content and push video-on-demand to the home, as well as allowing content to be viewed on any screen, both in and out of the home.

The UK-based company said satellite, cable and terrestrial broadcasters that use its technology would be able to provide a number of services, including pay TV, video-on-demand, and catch-up TV.

The group said that its "Television Anytime, Anywhere" capabilities have been in commercial use in Italy since 2009, and that the technology is currently being assessed by major broadcasters in Europe, North America and South America.

"It enables our partners to deepen their customer relationships and extend their brand by cost effectively offering content across multiple platforms and devices," said Motive's Chairman Michael Pilsworth.

"We are confident that this will lead to continued rapid growth," Pilsworth added.

Market growth is being driven in part by the mandatory switchover from analogue to digital broadcasting which, as mandated by the International Telecommunication Union, will come into full effect by 2015.
