TLC Eyecare & Laser Centers is pleased to announce the acquisition of Saline ophthalmology practice

March 30, 2011 - PRLog -- TLC Eyecare & Laser Centers is very excited to expand their services in the Washtenaw County area with the acquisition of Dr. Phillip Augustyn’s ophthalmology practice in Saline, Michigan.

After serving the Saline community for almost 30 years, Phillip Augustyn, M.D. will retire from his practice effective April 1, 2011. Luis Gago, M.D., cataract and refractive specialist at TLC Eyecare & Laser Centers will now provide care for Dr. Augustyn’s patients in the Saline office located in the professional building on the St. Joseph Mercy campus. “It has been my pleasure and privilege to serve my patients for almost 30 years and I am excited to leave them in the excellent hands of Dr. Luis Gago,” says Dr. Augustyn.

The Saline office will join TLC Eyecare’s growing practice of 14 locations in Southern Michigan and Northwest Ohio. This acquisition allows TLC Eyecare & Laser Centers to offer a wider range of eye care services to the Saline and surrounding communities including Glaucoma, Cataracts, Eye lid surgery, Implantable Contact Lenses and Laser Vision Correction. In addition to offering more services, we will be able to offer greater financial, technical, research, and marketing resources to better serve patients and our network of local optometrists.
