March 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Swedish telecommunications group Nokia said Tuesday that it had filed a second complaint with the US International Trade Commission alleging that Apple has infringed its patents in almost all of its mobile phones, portable music players, tablets and computers.

Nokia said in a statement that the seven Nokia patents in the new complaint relate to its "pioneering innovations" that are now being used by Apple to create key features in its products.

The Swedish firm said Apple was infringing its patents in the areas of multi-tasking operating systems, data synchronization, positioning, call quality and the use of Bluetooth accessories.

In addition to the two ITC complaints in the United States, Nokia has filed cases on the same patents in Delaware, US and has additional cases pending in Mannheim, Dusseldorf and the Federal Patent Court in Germany, the UK High Court in London and the District Court of the Hague in the Netherlands.

Nokia said some of these pending suits would come to trail in the next few months.

The company said it disagreed with a March 25 announcement from the ITC relating to its initial complaint against Apple, and that it is waiting to see the full details of the ruling before deciding its next steps in that case.

Nokia has filed its complaints as competition between communications and technology firms hots up as they seek rival market shares with technologically-savvy consumers.
