Alexia Collette King - Poised and Ready for Success in the Multi-Billion Dollar Beauty Industry

March 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Success is taking the passion of what you enjoy to developing a rewarding career.  Alexia Collette King, aka Lexi, has turned her love of beauty and style into a thriving business.  This young entrepreneur graduated from St. Xavier College in Illinois and immediately enrolled in Dudley Beauty College to obtain another credential.  After obtaining both a nursing degree and licensed cosmetology certificate, she pursued her dream of opening her own salon.  Spice Hair Boutique is located in Orland Park, Illinois, a few miles outside of Chicago.  

Spice Hair Salon has attracted many women who like the idea of natural hair care products as well as the personal service Lexi provides. “So many women today have abused their hair with chemicals and weaves that add gives a style but not necessarily healthy for the hair” said Alex.  “As a science major, I have studied and researched various chemicals and only use the best products available for my clients.  Lexi further comments, “I want my clients to leave the salon, not only looking beautiful, but feeling that their hair has been treated with the best products available and with a plan to work on keeping the hair vital and healthy”.  She retains client loyalty by keeping her prices affordable.

Lexi stays current with styles and hair care products by attending and participating in various  hair, fashion and style shows throughout the country.  To date she has won numerous awards,  including the AHBAI (American Health and Beauty Institute) Award, Hair Model for Junior Ladies competition Technical Division, and the OMC Hair World Competition..  

Lexi has created and maintained a broad base of affluent clientele consisting of scientists, doctors, journalists, radio and television, hosts,locacelebrities and other professionals.  She recently did touch up for Jennifer Hudson for her appearance on Oprah.  

Lexi's philosophy is that all cosmetologists should take the time to research the products that they are using on their clients.  Her strong commitment to use natural products she feels, is a responsibility to her clients.
