For this third edition, a delegation of 20 French companies will be presenting French industry’s achievements between the North Hall and Central Hall.
By: Kim Elsham In 2010, there was a sustained rate of growth in access to digital media. 85.8% of households had access to digital television (DTTV, satellite, ADSL or cable). In the 28.8 million households with digital access, DTTV is responsible for much of the growth with a share of 53%. The reception of TV via ADSL also accounts for significant growth (share of 20%). Cable television remains an alternative for large cities, but its limitation to one operator all over the country maintains its share to 8%, while satellite TV (19%) is growing in areas where cable and DTTV are not present or to be able to get specific packages. Many French companies have expressed a lively interest for the widened tele-visual offer brought about by the introduction of digital television. For all these reasons, French audiovisual companies want to go worldwide present their cutting edge technology. This is why for the third year, UBIFRANCE, the French agency for international business is proud to be part of NAB Show 2011.
