Former Off-Broadway Stage Actor, Terry Myrick, Delivers Sophomore Gospel Release On April 5, 2011

March 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Terry Myrick has much to sing about in his new studio recording.  A veteran in the music industry, Myrick has a range that’s one of a kind.  Soaring from baritone to soprano, Terry Myrick has mastered his unique gift.  He has won the famed Apollo Amateur Night and had the opportunity to showcase his talents on Off-Broadway stages in musicals like “Mama, I Want To Sing” as well as in numerous churches.  He’s sung on stages with gospel greats like the late Bishop Walter Hawkins, Tramaine Hawkins, Edwin Hawkins, Shirley Caesar and Commissioned.  It’s his amazing vocal talents that have gotten him there.  Now this incredibly gifted singer is releasing his sophomore CD, Show Me The Way, on April 5, 2011.

Peppered with strains of R&B, soul, and traditional and contemporary gospel, his new Sweet Melody Records’ project not only puts the gift of Terry Myrick on display, but through it, he simultaneously inspires the listener while expressing his undying love for the Savior.  The New Yorker opens the 12-track CD with the laid-back grooves of “He Is”.  With a distinct falsetto and lyrics that can’t help but to uplift, the artist sings to the Lord on the track, “I’ve Been Looking For You”.  A sweet acoustic guitar begins the pretty song, “It’s Going To Be Alright”.  Those in need a dose of hope will get it with the lyrics of this enriching song.  Contemporary music lovers will enjoy the modern sounds of the CD’s lead single, “Didn’t I Tell You”.  Spiced up with electric guitars and a funky beat, the singer gives us a slightly different vibe with this one.  Another creation from Producer Rod Clemmons, the track is an upbeat and rhythmic masterpiece.

After the release of Myrick’s debut, Christianity Today named Myrick as one of the “Ten Independent Artists You Should Know” and also said that “the real attraction is Myrick's impressive vocal range”.  They continued by saying, “Myrick's talent is undeniable.”  Keith Hannaleck of MuzikReviews.com said about the artist’s first project, “What I found most compelling was the natural pure talent of this man’s vocal delivery.
