March 29, 2011 - PRLog -- On February 13th of 2010, Dimitri Petronov a quiet scientist originally born in the Kiev in 1952 was last seen buying some bread in Moscow bakery by a neighbor who said he "was friendly as usual". According to his sister Marina, only the year before her brother was asked to visit a "military laboratory" to demonstrate an improved version of his favorite invention - a plasma battery that could operate for 3 years without recharging.  According to Marina, she said the device is technically nuclear but the radiation level is the same as cell phone. She said it used "something called isotopes".

The visit which was supposed to be a two day affair was extended for one week. "When Dimitri returned home he was glowing with a big smile. He hugged me and said "Marina, we are going to be rich like Putin." He told his sister he was not allowed to discuss the details, but that the military was going to fund a factory project to build his battery and would allow him to sell his battery for commercial applications, "but only within Russia". One of the Generals at the meeting even suggested that they become "50/50 partners". Dimitri told his sister "Eventually ever car in Russia will use my battery". Marina recalls that "He was even happier than the day Papa bought him his first bicycle"

For the the previous year their modest home had been powered only by one of Dimitri's incredible batteries, as part of his experiments. She described the box as "about 35 by 35 by 15 centimeters" and said it made no noise but was warm to the touch". She recalls how delighted Dimitri was when he was able to turn on all 6 lights, the television, and even the wash machine in the house - all powered only by the little gray box.

Dimitri had made a duplicate that he took to demonstrate for the military and they asked to keep the device, ostensibly "to conduct some tests". They also asked Dimitri to "make a better version of his battery that was as good as the America model which supposedly lasted even longer". Marina reported that Dimitri was given some "suggestions and other information the government had found in America about a similar battery". Dimitri was surprised that someone else shared his ideas, Marina recalled.

However. a week later, "a tall, well-dressed, and handsome man" appeared unexpectedly on their doorstep asking for Dimitri. He introduced himself as Vladimir, an attache from the science academy and the two men sat down to have coffee together. Marina was asked to leave for one hour to provide some privacy for an "urgent and confidential matter".

Marina told friends that after she returned home, her brother was in a sullen mood and seemed very "worried" but he refused to talk about the visit, only commenting the following day that "Russia will drown itself in a sea of corruption".  According to Marina, "Dimitri was never the same after Vladimir's visit"

This was not Dimitri's first invention. He previously invented an incredibly-bright LED flashlight, but it was too cost-prohibitive to make it commercially viable. Marina recalls that he was also working on a "biometric switch" but she recalls nothing more about it. Dimitri worked over 20 years for the aviation giant Antonov as an engineer after graduating from the best Engineering school in Berlin.

Then on February 13th, 2010, like he did on every Saturday morning around 9:00am, Dimitri went to the Red Star Coffee Shop in Moscow to enjoy his favorite pastry and coffee and to read his favorite magazines "Scientific American" and "Popular Science". As usual, he bought the special bread that Marina liked so much to take home. Dimitri was never seen or heard from again.

Marina told a neighbor three months ago that she now believes "Vladimir" was "probably KGB" and that she had to move back to her hometown on the Ukraine border to take care of her elderly mother who was in failing health.

A German investor hired me to find Dimitri and has offered to pay a $25,000 USD reward for information that leads to discovering his current whereabouts. If anyone has pertinent information, please send it to me at CurtisB789654@Gmail.com in complete confidence. I am an American journalist who has been investigating Dimitri's disappearance for six months.
