Monaco Montclair RV Review

The 2011 Monaco Montclair doesn't just bring a competitively priced RV to the market, but also a more fuel efficient model than many of its competitors.

March 28, 2011 - PRLog -- There are three floor plans available in the 2011 Monaco Montclair which range in size from a 25 foot model to a 29 foot model. This is obviously a lot shorter than Class-A models, but for Class-B models it compares very favorably. The shorter size also means it is more fuel efficient than the more expensive gas guzzlers in Class-A.

With less interior space available the floor plans are designed with optimal settings in mind. All the normal features are included, but there is less space available for a luxurious living area and kitchen. Instead, although the interior is high quality, it is also practical with the 29PBT model affording the most living space with both a booth dinette and 68 inch sofa hide-a-bed. This means a family of four can enjoy day trips and weekend trips in a stylish RV while compromising only a little with the living space.

Naturally, entertainment options are also included, but are more limited than in larger, more expensive models. All Monaco Montclair models have a 26 inch LCD TV installed as standard over the cockpit area. This makes the best use of space and enables a full kitchen area to be installed. Both the 28PBD and 29PBT models have the option of having a 19 inch LCD TV installed in the bedroom while the 25OCS model has a fold-down DVD player option with game hookup capabilities.

The kitchen itself includes a stainless steel 3-burner cook top, a microwave and single-door refrigerator. A stainless steel high-rise faucet and double bowl kitchen sink is also available. This ensures all the basics necessities for cooking, preparing and storing food for any trip. There is also overhead storage space available as well as a pantry in the 28PBD model.

Overall, the Monaco Montclair packs in a lot of features for a Class B model. It does have some upgrade options available, but due to the restricted space available, there is no option to upgrade to a king bed. The standard queen bed in the 28PBD and 29PBT should suffice while the normal bed in the 25PCS model is the only option. The 29 gallon fresh water storage capacity on all models is somewhat limiting, but it is definitely enough capacity for day trips to the beach or for shorter overnight trips out of state.
