Wholesale Food Distributor Announces Annual Food Show at Gillette Stadium/March 30

March 28, 2011 - PRLog -- New England Wholesale food distributor AGAR, product specialist for independent restaurants, retailers and other food service operators will host its 12th annual April Food Show at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro MA on March 30, 2011. Show hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Over 3,000 customers of AGAR and others in the food service industry will attend the food show seeking many different solutions for their business including ways to counter the historic rise in food costs. AGAR has a team of experts in all different categories of food ready to assist owners and operators with this challenge.

Over 250 vendors in the AGAR network will have a presence at the Annual Food Show. Vendors will be featuring products including Beef, Seafood, Pork, Lamb, Poultry as well as Paper and Plastic goods, Dry & Frozen Grocery items.  

Most importantly there will be ideas to keep operators profitable through menu concepts and other offerings.  The show will also feature many Gluten Free menu concepts as this is a growing demand.  The annual food show as well as others is open to any AGAR customer as well as anyone looking to the New England Wholesale food distributor for future food distribution needs and profit solutions.

AGAR will also host a chef’s competition called Smackdown, featuring many different recipes geared toward takeout and home meal replacement. Seven local food brokers working with AGAR will submit recipes to enhance profitability and drive customer traffic and show how they’re prepped during a showcase at the food show.
