March 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Author and Columnist John Longenecker is conducting a Gun Owner Survey among his readers and among general gun owner-Americans this Spring. Longenecker is publisher of the Safer Streets Newsletter and Commentary, and is the author of The CPR Corollary, his own observations of an identity of values and purpose between the armed citizen and citizen CPR.

Longenecker is attempting to discover any sort of correspondence between America's armed citizens in whether they have already adopted CPR training as a matter of their overall preparedness. Even Longenecker can't say at this time, though he knows that the concept of being armed with both lethal force and CPR / First-aid training are staples of the preparedness movement and in the public interest.

"The second amendment is itself a mainstream value," Longenecker asserts in his next digital book, Even Safer Streets, 2011 slated for both the Amazon and Barnes & Noble digital book catalogs this month.

"The entire concept of safer streets depends entirely on our greater independence from our servants, not utter dependency, and that means smaller government," he says. "The kind of person who realizes that they are on their own in the first moments of an emergency is the kind who would probably learn both how to handle a gun and how to handle a cardiac arrest among other things. The question is how many actually do both."

Gun owners can acces the survey by opting-in to the Newsletter at Longenecker's webpage, www.GoodForTheCountry.com

When Longenecker first formulated The CPR Corollary years ago, he saw four elements of comparison. He noticed early In the middle eighties that the objections to the armed citizen harkened back to the seventies when some in the medical community objected to teaching citizens CPR. Even the why's were identical.

The CPR Corollary now has twelve elements of identical purpose.
