Homophones helps students build mastery in this essential language arts skill of knowing the difference between words that sound alike, are spelled differently, and have different meanings.

Practice Level A student will read a sentence with a missing word. The student will be given 2 answer choices. The words sound alike, but have different meanings and spellings. An incorrect response allows the student to read the sentence again and select a different answer.

Single Player The student plays a bingo-like game against the computer. Answering a Homophones  question correctly allows the student to place a marker on the game card. 5 markers in a pattern wins the game.

Mulit Player The student plays a bingo-like game against another student. The first student to fill his/her game card with 5 markers in a pattern wins the game.

Levels of Difficulty

Red Level - Reading Levels 2.0 to 2.9

Blue Level - Reading Levels 3.0 to 3.9

Green Level - Reading Levels 4.0 to 4.9

Purple Level - Reading Levels 5.0 to 5.9
