March 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Spilled Ink Indie Music Showcase is a highly anticipated platform taking place Saturday April 23rd, 2011 at Suite 100 Restaurant & Lounge located at 300 SW 1st Avenue Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33301; doors open at 9pm

“Spilled Ink Indie Music Showcase” is an extraordinary event designed to offer emerging artist career advancement opportunities and education to people interested in and /or working in the entertainment industry by showcasing their talents and learning about performer’s rights via SESAC. This incredible event is put together by Spilled Ink, LLC in partnership with Next Weekend Productions and SESAC.

Indie Showcases provides a great way to gain exposure from the public and people in the music industry. Some artists may perform for years and never get industry people at their shows however, many indie artist and bands have been discovered at these types of professional showcases.

“Spilled Ink Indie Music Showcase” is open to all genres of music and ages including live talent & tracks. The upscale atmosphere of Suite 100 Restaurant & Lounge in Ft. Lauderdale, FL is specifically designed to offer an opportunity for individuals to network, mingle and enjoy live performances. Additionally, Spilled Ink is raising awareness regarding Breast Cancer in the South Florida community and will donate a portion of the proceeds to Next Weekend Productions for their annual "Save The Twinz: Live PINK!" event held in October.

“Spilled Ink Indie Music Showcase” will feature special invited guests who have made, and will continue to make major achievements, contributions within the entertainment industry and the entertainment community.

*Auditions for the “Spilled Ink Indie Music Showcase” will take place Monday April 11, 2011 & Tuesday April 12, 2011 at Off the Trax 1595 W. Oakland Park Blvd Ft. Lauderdale, Fl 33311 from 7pm - until or by online submission via spilledinkinfo@gmail.com. **Spilled Ink Indie Music Showcase: Audition Criteria**

Spilled Ink, LLC welcome all genres, musicians, bands, groups, and solo artist to audition for the showcase. We work hard to get musicians what they need. EXPOSURE! You got the music; we have the venues, and a growing fan base. The event will showcase approximately 12 emerging artist and two featured artists on April 23, 2011 doors open at 8pm, show from 9pm-3am at Suite 100 Restaurant & Lounge located at 300 SW 1st Avenue Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33301

Spilled Ink, LLC panel of experts will listen to and grade submissions according to a set of criteria established to determine which acts will be featured in the “Spilled Ink Indie Music Showcase”

Criteria will include an assessment against areas such as:
§  Vocal Ability
§  Stage Presence
§  Appropriateness of Music
§  Appearance
§  Entertainment Value

Please note:
Artist will be limited to 1 performance, 5 minutes maximum time limit for auditions
