Nodson started at Standard Motor Products in 1974 as a territory sales manager. After eight years in that role, he served for six years as the marketing manager for the company's Champ Service Line Division of accessory products. From 1988 to 1998, he was director of marketing and retail/special market sales manager for the company’s full line EIS Brake Division. From 1998 until he left the company in 2009, he acted as director of marketing and as business development manager for the Engine Management Division.
He earned an MBA from the University of Utah in 1982, and holds a B.S. degree in business from the College of Business Administration at California State University, Long Beach.
