Brandman University and Centralia College Partner to Give Students a Clear Path to Four-Year Degree

Brandman University and Centralia College announced the signing of an Early Advantage Program partnership agreement, which offers Centralia students an easy and affordable way to complete their bachelor's degree.

March 23, 2011 - PRLog -- Brandman University, a regionally accredited institution within the Chapman University System, today announced the signing of an Early Advantage Program (EAP) partnership with Centralia College.

By enrolling in the Early Advantage Program, students will be able to map out their education pathway to Brandman. EAP students are open to take Brandman classes as needed to ensure a timely completion of their associate degree at Centralia College. Participants in the program will have access to enhanced cooperative academic and student services from both institutions including Brandman’s advising services, information sessions, technology support, and education plans. The partnership will also allow students to lock in their academic catalog year, giving them the ability to transfer all completed coursework contained in the agreement.

To support the affiliation, Brandman University is also launching a Virtual Transfer Program (VTP) with Centralia College. This comes in the form of a webpage that is available to students who are looking to transfer to complete their four-year degree. It is an interactive initiative that allows the student to download a completed education plan and know exactly what courses will transfer to a Brandman degree. To view the VTP partnership page visit http://www.Brandman.edu/eap/Centralia.

“Brandman University establishes Early Advantage partnership agreements with community colleges like Centralia to provide students with a clearly defined path to pursue their higher education,” said Gary Brahm, Chancellor of Brandman University.

The EAP is also cost effective for Centralia students to attain their bachelor’s degree. As part of the agreement, Brandman offers a 10% tuition discount to transfer students and will waive all application fees for students participating in the EAP.

“This is an important partnership that helps our students. It continues our efforts to provide educational options for those who plan to go onto a four-year university,” said Dr. Jim Walton, Centralia College president. “This partnership gives our students access to a quality university that offers a very broad range of degrees in in-demand fields of study.”

The EAP includes Brandman’s bachelors of business administration, criminal justice, and early childhood development degree pathways among others. As part of the agreement an EAP student can attend classes at any of the five Brandman campuses throughout Washington State.
