The Forked River House and B98.5fm have an exciting night planned, with dinner specials happening before and around the Signature Drink Competition which will have three bartenders preparing a signature "Boardwalk" themed drink. Sponsored by B98.5 the winning cocktail will be featured on the Forked River House menu throughout the summer. Attendees will have a chance to purchase the drinks as they are auctioned off with great prizes.
Fun and fundraising is what the night is about, a great way to support local business and local charities. One of the groups, The Southern Ocean County Foundation will be holding its main fundraising event on May 3 at Sea Oaks Country Club in Little Egg Harbor featuring 12 local chefs preparing courses from restaurants from America's past such as Mama Leone's and Old Original Bookbinders. The night also includes entertainment, silent and live auction as well as many other surprises. Last year's event, raised $50,000 that went directly to Lacey Food Bank, Ocean Community Church Food Ministry, Ken's Kitchen at St Mary's, St Francis Center Food Pantry, Barnegat Food Pantry, St Stephen's Episcopal Church Food Pantry and Tuckerton Area Inter Church Food Pantry.
