Shepherd was the first Twin Cities litigation support service provider to partner with Relativity and to provide a complete suite of document and data hosting solutions ranging from early case assessment through trial. Shepherd is also the first local company to have completed training and testing to become a Summation Support Specialist (SSS), the highest-tier and most comprehensive designation for AccessData’s Summation technology.
Shepherd provides end-to-end services and technology for law firms, professional services firms, corporations and government entities.
Christine Chalstrom, president and CEO of Shepherd, had this to say, “We are excited about how we have positioned Shepherd for success in the coming years. Shepherd is known for providing the gold standard of e-discovery and litigation support. By continuing our technology partnerships with tried and true solutions and forming new partnerships with companies such as AccessData and Relativity, our unique flexibility enables us to further extend our reach across the discovery and data lifecycle. I believe we have picked technologies that help our clients save time and money in the long run.”
Chalstrom leveraged her 21 years of litigation experience to carefully review, select and implement technologies into Shepherd’s discovery and litigation support workflow process. In addition to AccessData and Relativity, current technology partners include:
• Guidance Software®, AccessData®, for data collection and forensic analysis
Shepherd uses these technologies in-house and it also resells and provides software training to clients. Software implementation and training from Shepherd provides added value to clients because it enables them to get the most return on investment for technology purchases.
Recently, Chalstrom completed training and testing to become a Summation Support Specialist (SSS), the highest-tier and most comprehensive designation for AD Summation products. This designation required Chalstrom to fulfill all three AD Summation certifications (SCE, SCCM, and SCA) and designates her as advanced in the end-user, administrative and project management aspects of Summation software. She is also capable of meeting the needs of the legal team and IT and effectively blending those roles.
“We invest in leading technologies and training because, from experience we have found that this allows us to offer the best solutions,” continued Chalstrom. “As we extend our list of technology partners, the company will further establish its leadership role in the legal community.”
Shepherd is always on guard for better ways to utilize technology to improve the efficiency of legal practices. Since 2002, it has grown from a one-person operation to a fully-staffed professional organization of legal, technology, IT, software, project management, and customer service experts.
