Cheryl, a five-year-old sheep gave birth to the beautiful black and white bundles – named Kate and Wills – at the Godmanchester Shelter in the early hours of Friday morning. (March 18)
Cheryl was brought to the Shelter on March 1 after she was found wandering around the streets of Edgware, London
Field Section Manager at the Shelter, Deborah Wild said: “When Cheryl first arrived at the Shelter she was quite thin so it was difficult to tell whether or not she was pregnant. However, as the weeks went by it became more and more evident that she was expecting so we were not surprised to come into work and find two new additions lying in her pen.
“The vet has checked them all over and we are pleased to report that they are all doing well.”
Cheryl will be kept in a private pen with Kate and Wills over the weekend to allow the trio to form a bond. The public are welcome to visit Cheryl, Kate and Wills from Monday onwards in the goat barn at the Godmanchester Shelter.
