March 22, 2011 - PRLog -- The BlackBerry PlayBook is the highly anticipated tablet device from smartphone manufacturer RIM. The Canadian manufacturer has won the hearts of many with its famous handset form-factors and it now intends to woo users further with this beautifully designed tablet.

To be a big hitter in the tablet market, you need to pack a powerful punch and the BB PlayBook has this in the form of a 1GHZ dual-core processor. It also features the brand new BlackBerry tablet OS, giving it the kudos to compete with the likes of the Apple iPad, the Motorola XOOM and the HTC Flyer. http://www.clove.co.uk/blackberry-playbook

BlackBerry smartphones have always been well-known for their multi-tasking capabilities, so this is a feature of the PlayBook that has been given plenty of attention. You can switch seamlessly between multiple applications, which will include the famous BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) of course.

With a 7-inch capacitive touch screen, the PlayBook is comparable in size to tablets such as the HTC Flyer and the Samsung Galaxy Tab. However, measuring just 10mm in thickness, the PlayBook is one of the thinnest tablets around and highly portable. This makes it ideal for carrying around as a business tool - it won't add too much bulk and offers convenience for meetings and briefings.

As is suggested by the name, it is not all work and no play when it comes to the PlayBook - a range of multimedia features is great for both. Dual cameras can capture HD video at the same time, great for conference calling or a personal video call. There's also a microHDMI port - ideal for sharing the PlayBook's display in a meeting, or for sharing personal content on a TV at home.  http://www.clove.co.uk/samsung-galaxy-tab-p1000-16gb

However, there is one feature that you'll want to make use of once you do escape the office. The PlayBook comes with access to the 7Digital music store, which provides a library of over 13 million tracks to choose from. Any music that is purchased from the store is DRM free and can be accessed from other devices once downloaded. There's also the option to subscribe to music and video podcasts, meaning content is automatically downloaded as soon as it is available.
