PRLog -- One of the most delightul things about this project is when I find what I call a little jewel in the crown. My jewels can vary from properties that are doing everything right, to properties that have improved in one key area. This month the precious jewel I've found is Beach View Apartments on the West Coast, run by Robin Walcott. I recently conducted environmental training for Robins' housekeeping department and boy was it a sheer delight to see the various initiatives that he has put in place around the hotel. There's all sorts going on over there. The hotel lighting is near enough 100% energy efficient with all the bulbs installed in all guest rooms, walkways and corridors. There are low flush toilets installed in all bathrooms, well serviced aerators on all faucets, well serviced A/C units and the energy eye has been installed for A/C's in all rooms and a towel reuse programme that the staff are following quite keenly. I mean they've even got a plant on site that recycles the water and uses it for irrigation. And if that's not enough, the A/C and lights in his office are always turned off when he's not there. Now that's what I call a GEM! So KUDOS to Robin and his team for all the wonderfull initiatives that they've put in place. Well done!
