BCA’s Endowment Funds for Education (EFFE) Grant is open to student or professional biocommunication photographers, illustrators, graphic designers, multimedia creators and videographers. BCA membership is not required. Members of the Selection Committee or their relatives are ineligible.
EFFE grants have been awarded for a variety of projects including the development of digital photography techniques for use in taking medical photos, a summer internship in India to study and teach ophthalmic photography techniques, and travel expenses for a medical photographer who accompanied Project Smile’s volunteer doctors to Ecuador to document patients undergoing corrective surgery of cleft palates.
