“The GBB offered the best alternative for the three areas we considered when evaluating certifying agencies,” says Ron Wallace, Ashley Inn and Suites’ general manager.
Wallace says the hotel considered customer service, reputation and price when reviewing certification programs. GBB came out on top in all three areas.
“The GBB program offered an easy initial set up for compliance and offered great follow-on contact with our establishment, “ says Wallace.
An added benefit of enrolling with the GBB was the organization’
Wallace says that the hotel already had many of the green practices required by the GBB for certification in place before enrolling with the program. The fact that GBB offers credit for pre-existing practices was another deciding factor in choosing the program over others.
Moving forward, Wallace says Ashley Inns and Suites is looking forward to gaining the tools and organization necessary to maintain its green status and to effect continuous improvements in conserving natural resources.
