Food Safety Firm Makes Commitment to Green

March 21, 2011 - PRLog -- March 21, 2011 HOUSTON – Award-winning food safety project management firm, The Benson Mills Group of has joined the Green Business Bureau.  The Lithonia, GA company, which had already implemented a formal environmental mission statement, will continue its green commitment by becoming green business certified.

The Benson Mills Group’s President and CEO, Terri Waller, says that the company chose the GBB certification because of the ease of the program and the real time reporting and updates.  For this service oriented organization, GBB’s level of customer service was a crucial deciding factor, as well.

“We joined the GBB because we liked their product and the level of customer service we received,” says Waller.

In addition to putting their green commitment down in writing through their environmental mission statement, The Benson Mills Group had implemented green programs prior to joining the GBB.  Waller says that the company had generated green awareness related to paper, ink cartridges, floor mats, and cleaning products.

Moving forward, Waller says she and The Benson Mills Group are looking forward to learning more about being an environmentally aware organization.
