Crysis has been a huge success 3 years ago and became the First Person Shooter reference. It set the visual benchmark for PC games and it still does today. Crysis 2 is now running on the new Crytek engine: CryEngine 3 and is aimed at surpassing its predecessors and become the new FPS reference for graphic performance.

But the original game was only released on PC. "Computers are upgradable gaming systems that can constantly provide better visual experience" and PC is admitted to be the platform of choice for FPS. However tomorrow, Crysis 2 will be released on Xbox 360 and PS3 too.

Though expert press have reviewed the game and gave their enthusiastic verdict on consoles demo, the players who tried the demo were not so pleased at the results on PS3 as well as Xbox 360, sharing their disapointing experience on video games forums.

Crytek was already working on antoher build of the game and some videos of the console game have been published on YouTube, which comforted gamers that Crytek stick to its claims to deliver a solid final result on the release date.

This little confusion doesn't seem to affect sales since the Crysis 2 pre orders for the Xbox 360 and PS3 game versions pushed it into the top 30 at Amazon.com last week (Crysis 2 PS3 got to rank 30th, and Crysis 2 Xbox 360 ranked 8th).
