Besides Pradip Mehra, Adviser to the UT Administrator, Panjab University Vice-Chancellor R.C Sobti, Mayor Ravinder Pal Singh, and 14 other leading citizens of the city were present at the ceremony to honour the deserving participants. Pradip Mehra expressed his gratitude to all the supporters who donated generously to the cause. Over 800 blood donors were given away awards for their valuable contributions to the noble cause of donating blood. Star institutions, which supported the voluntary blood donation movement, were also presented awards at the event.
