Follow on Google News | Word Game Suggests Evolution of LanguageNew software-based word game shows that human brains store letters as numbers. Answers pull conversations from the software of the mind.
"It's important for this software to be in as many hands as possible," says Alice Elliott Brown, author of Master of My Universe: How to get what you want and live your dream. The Master of My Universe book introduced EdnaTalk as a means of building self-esteem. "The game helps people feel positive and in control of their lives," says Brown. Her book references more than thirty diverse science writers, including Steven Hawking, Stephen C. Meyer, and Brian Greene. Brown points to Meyer's work on the evidence for intelligent design in our DNA software structure. She says Meyer's argument, compared to the evidence for self-organizing evolution, compares favorably in the EdnaTalk phenomenon. "The language layout suggests software architecture, not monkeys pounding on a typewriter. But, who is to say that the architect design mechanism was not a product of probability? Brown is working on a new book of results from EdnaTalk, which she believes will show that our memory stores information in a way that biases our value system.
