Pensacola, FL March 20, 2011 - Mad Cricket Drafting is a funny name for a professional drafting company that takes its services seriously.  Specializing in shop drawings for cabinet shops, Mad Cricket Drafting has provided design, CAD, and CNC services to local and national companies in Florida, Alabama, and Virginia for over two years.
   Started in 2009, by Scot Ward, Mad Cricket Drafting has added new clients and the Spring of 2011 is looking promising.  “The winter months are always the slowest,” according to Scot, “but this year we’ve had companies from Nevada to Florida take interest in our CAD services.  In this economy many cabinet shops are looking for work and can’t afford the added cost of a fulltime drafter.  Shops are looking for ways to cut cost, yet still provide a quality product.   Owners are drawing their own shop drawings, when they really don’t have the time.  That’s what we provide.  If cabinet shops use Mad Cricket Drafting, they will only pay us when they have work.”
    With nearly all of Mad Cricket Drafting’s business conducted on line, they don’t use wasteful paper architectural drawings.  “We usually use PDF files and we email our drawings.  When we have to print something we will use that paper after we’re done with it for notes.  There really is very little waste.”  Scot added.
