Simone’s self-published poetry book is receiving positive reviews from a lot of quarters. “The funny thing is I’ve always considered myself more of a novelist than a poet. My foray into poetry is relatively new. I’m absolutely thrilled people are enjoying reading my poems.”

When asked why she decided to self-publish Simone answered, “It’s a way of having more control over the end product. I mean you make all the decisions about your book. The author has a lot more responsibility and accountability but I also think more ownership in the finished book.”
