Follow on Google News | CAPIC applauds CIC’s decision for new regulatorThe Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC) is pleased with CIC decision to select the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) as the new regulatory body for immigration practitioners.
By: CAPIC “We are thrilled with the decision from Citizenship and Immigration Canada. We look forward to seeing the implementation of a regulator who will bring back confidence in our professional sector and its institutions,” While CAPIC assisted in the development of the submission that saw ICCRC become the new regulatory body for immigration consultants, it is independent of the regulatory body, and thus will have no direct role in the implementation. It will, however, monitor the progress made and verify that the best interests of the public, immigration practitioners, immigrants and the immigration system are served. As a professional association, CAPIC will remain the independent voice which promotes the interests of its members and the industry at large. “This is an exciting time for our profession,” For more information, please contact Lynn Gaudet at 403-229-9256 or by email at communication@ # # # CAPIC takes an active role in lobbying to have member’s concerns heard by various government and non-government bodies.
