PRLog -- Cheap-Textbooks.com, one of the Internets oldest textbook price comparison sites has expanded its price comparison service with the addition of a textbook price comparison application for the iPhone and iPad. “We are excited to bring the power of our price search tool to students in this portable application. Being able to lookup local and online prices for used and rented textbooks on their phone will be a big savings tool” says Bob Jones, Founder of Cheap-Textbooks.com. “No more standing in a bookstore trying to decide if the price is fair. This technology lets students type the books title or ISBN into their device and easily access a report of the lowest priced textbooks. ”
The application is a Web App that is accessed at
http://www.Cheap-Textbooks.com/iOS/ instead of the traditional App Store. “Creating the application as a Safari Web App provides a smoother and secure interface between the price comparison application and the book seller’s web sites” says Mr. Jones. The web application reports the lowest rental, used, new, eBook and international version prices, including the shipping costs, from over 30 online book stores. Push another button and the application reports the best sell back prices for the book. The application also integrates with the iPhone email providing the option to send the price report to your dorm room, parents or anyone else. The application is free. More information on the application and sample screen shots are available at
