This latest release of Bathy DataBASE expands the database system options available to clients following last year’s release of Bathy DataBASE 3.0, which offered the open source PostgreSQL database for backend storage. The PostgreSQL database option continues to be supported in the 3.1 release.
Mike Gourley, senior products manager at CARIS, is excited about the improved capabilities and what this means for government clients, “by supporting Oracle Spatial we can offer a service orientated approach to bathymetric data management and at the same time provide true scalability that will give even the largest agencies full confidence in this dedicated solution”
CARIS will be showcasing the Bathy DataBASE 3.1 software at the upcoming Ocean Business exhibition in Southampton, UK, April 5th – 7th and the US Hydro conference in Tampa, USA, April 24th – 28th. Please drop by our booth and ask for a demo!
